Homenaje a First Things First de Ken Garland, 1964

El objetivo del proyecto fue basarse en el manifiesto First things first de 1964 y crear una pieza que haga referencia a la crítica del bombardeo de la publicidad. En el manifiesto, se utiliza la figura retórica de la acumulación para citar los productos que se diseñan y para demostrar la absurdidad de estos y en el diseño de la revista se ha cogido una referencia clara que utiliza la acumulación para venta de productos.
“[…] We have been bombarded with publications devoted to this belief, applauding the work of those who have flogged their skill and imagination to sell such things as: cat food, stomach powders, detergent, hair restorer, striped toothpaste, aftershave lotion, beforeshave lotion, slimming diets, fattening diets, deodorants, fizzy water, cigarettes, roll-ons, pull-ons and slip-ons. […]”
